What survives, what doesn't

The Quick Start command runs the container with --rm, so the container is deleted when it stops.

This is intentional: every new container starts from the same clean image.

Keep AI agent logins

Add Docker volumes for the agents' directories to the docker run command:

Docker creates the named volumes (yeci-claude, …) on first use and keeps them after the container is removed. All your YECI containers share them, so you sign in once for all projects.

For Claude Code, the login itself is stored in ~/.claude/ and is kept this way. Claude Code also keeps some app state (such as first-run settings and trusted folders) in the single file ~/.claude.json, which this setup does not keep, so it may repeat parts of its first-run setup in a new container.

To remove the saved logins:

docker volume rm yeci-claude yeci-codex yeci-gemini yeci-grok

Git credentials

Git is configured with credential.helper store: the first time you enter a username and password (or token) for git push / git pull, git saves it to ~/.git-credentials in plain text and stops asking. Like everything outside /workspace, it is lost when the container is removed.
